About Brilliant Deductions LLC

Brilliant Deductions LLC was started by Bob Johansmeyer, EA, who worked in the tax field for over 25 years. A former Navy Boatswain's Mate and Vietnam Veteran, Bob was well known for his colorful personality. However, he brought a wealth of knowledge and personal attention to his business and gained an excellent reputation and many friends in the community.

Prior to his death in 2014, Bob trained his son, Brett Nihart, and nephew, Soren Gutierrez, (both also veterans) on tax preparation and expanded his practice to a new location in West Haven. Now, Brett and Soren carry the torch as Brilliant Deductions LLC continues as a second-generation family business that is veteran-owned and operated.
